GFMEDC Releases September Economic Indicators

The unemployment rate for the Fargo Moorhead MSA sits at 3.0% compared to a national unemployment rate at 7.3% (not seasonally adjusted). North Dakota’s unemployment sits at 2.7% (August 2013).

Housing starts for the MSA total 1,970 year-to-date compared to 1,141 last year a 73% change.

Total passengers at Hector International Airport also shows 11.4% growth compared to the same time last year with 68,126 August 2013 compared to 61,142 August 2012.

Second quarter 2013 taxable sales for Cass County was $783,514,666 a change of 1.1% (compared to the same time the previous year) at $775,327,718.
