Performs all duties related to the Accounts Payable function and the maintenance of related files, records, and computer processing including, but not limited to, vendor invoices, factory credits, debit memos, expense invoices and statements, mail processing, check processing, and affiliated distributor payments and records.
Process vendor invoices, credit memos, debit memos, and branch expenses for payment.
Process vendor invoices to bill our customers.
Scan invoices into our imaging system for processing and storage.
Monitor EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) screens.
Compile and maintain monthly EDI processing spreadsheet.
Monitor and reconcile various reports daily, weekly, monthly (blocked invoice reports, open goods receipt/invoice receipt (GR/IR) report, blocked freight report, 102 reversal report, credit balance report).
Reconcile vendor account statements and correspond with vendors on issues or questions.
Process vendor payments and ensure they are timely and accurate.
Process and monitor monthly corporate VISA.
Review and process branch bank reconciliations.
Freight claim accounting entry posting.
May participate in team interviewing for new hires.
May be responsible for training new staff.
This position requires the ability to lift over 20 lbs. on an occasional basis, and/or move up to 0 – 20 lbs. on a constant basis. This position may require frequent standing and/or walking and or constant sitting. These physical requirements must be met with or without accommodation.

Minimum of a two-year accounting degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, reading, and customer service skills are preferred with the ability to effectively plan and organize.
Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
Prefer good working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Internet, Email and SAP software.
