The Marketing and Brand Director will possess strong brand leadership, communication and organization skills and is responsible for driving brand awareness and equity for our business according to the company mission, culture, service philosophy and meeting the goals and objectives set forth by the Board, Senior Leadership Team and Executive Council.
Provides strategic vision along with leading direct resources required to support a $2.0 billion organization’s marketing and branding effort to meet and exceed company objectives. Effectively communicates an understanding of brand management, branding strategy and implementation to ensure the integrity of the BSE brand is consistent in all company communication mediums and materials.
Drives the brand’s internal and external integrated content strategy across all marketing channels. Develops and implements meaningful brand and content effectiveness metrics and continuous improvement processes. Optimizes content distribution ensuring relevant content is delivered to the customer effectively and at that right time.
Identify, recommend and manage external vendors and resources including graphics/design, production, advertising, public relations, fulfillment, media, market research, database and interactive agencies and freelancers.
Develops and implements market based story-telling that draws the right audience to the brand. Develops, communicates, and maintains the style and visual identity standards for the company, branches and corporate departments.
Manages expenditures to provide accurate, timely documentation of expenses within the budget.
Works with promotional product vendors to coordinate BSE clothing, company uniforms, promotional items, and calendars for the company store web site and/or other activities.
Manages advertising in trade publications, newspapers, newsletters and industry directories – companywide by tracking directory ad activity, including designing and placement of ads.
This position requires the ability to lift up to 20lbs on an occasional basis, and/or move 0-20lbs on a constant basis. This position may require frequent standing and/or walking, and/or constant sitting.
Adheres to BSE’s Mission, Values, Culture, Policies and Procedures. Performs all aspects of the job as accurately and efficiently as possible while providing exceptional customer service at all times. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.
Minimum of a four-year marketing, communications, business or related degree with a strong emphasis on marketing and brand and/or the equivalent in work experience is required.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field of marketing and brand strategy is preferred.
Excellence in visual communication, creative problem solving, design layout, typography, writing and editing is essential. This position requires a results-driven problem solver who possesses artistic and creative ability and has strong project management skills.
Must possess strong leadership and motivational skills and have strong decision making ability in fast-paced situations. Must possess energy, enthusiasm, team building skills, and have experience communicating over a variety of mediums.
Experience managing web strategies, implementing tools and resources, and online content management skills required. Requires working knowledge of the following software: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Dreamweaver, Email, e-mail software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint).
Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged.
