Responsibilities
Ensures an approved business case is translated into a clear and actionable project plan to implement and realize identified value. Manages and monitors all project activities and collaborates with stakeholders to ensure that the project output(s) are delivered on time, on budget, on scope and within defined quality and most importantly, delivers the anticipated value. Identifies stakeholders, risks and issues and helps mitigate and minimize to achieve defined goals.
Strategy Enablement Department – General
Represent BSE Strategy Enablement (SE) department and BSE in professional manner that represents company’s mission, culture and integrity.
Actively engage and collaborate with a diverse population including but not limited to vendors, BSE employee owners and all levels of management including executive level.
Supports development and improvement of BSE’s SE processes, including project management methodology.
Continue educational growth in areas of service and product industries BSE engages.
Continuous growth in the professional area of project management through development and maintenance of professional peer networking and consumption of educational materials.
Ability to receive and action on feedback and coaching, as well as provide to others as needed.
Project Management and Leadership
Develop and maintain strong and collaborative partnerships with BSE employee owners to execute on approved business initiatives.
Adheres and expands upon BSE’s Project Management methodology for all aspects of a project throughout the project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close and value realization), may seek guidance from Sr. SEPM and Manager of Strategic Projects
Activities designated in BSE’s Project Management Methodology, including development, documentation and execution of realistic and practical schedule development, scope management, resource management, risk management, change management, communication management, budgeting and expense tracking, and procurement.
Ability to develop and execute strategies necessary to for project success, including but not limited to project team interaction, status and escalation, build and test strategies.
Meet financial objectives through forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variance and initiation of corrective action plans.
Initiate and collaborate in the identification (internal and/or external) skills and resources needs as well as monitor and control resource allocation with support from respective department managers by providing constructive feedback to team members and department managers on performance during project activities. Facilitate open dialog to foster trust and transparency.
Serve as a positive representative and leader between the SE and the business units throughout the project lifecycle through continuous communication activities and facilitation of active engagement.
Construct and deliver presentations in various formats to various audience, including executive leadership.
Ensure that projects are formally closed and accepted and where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, value is calculated, and that lessons learned are captured for use on other initiatives.
Ability to review and refine statement of work and contracts to support project success.
Ability to work independently generally, but in complex and large initiatives will be guided by Sr. SEPM.
Supports continuous evaluation and improvement of the SEPM process to align with industry best practices and BSE needs.
Provides mentorship to other SE project managers.
