NDSU is a national research university of about 14,400 students. The university’s researchers are leaders in areas such as nanotechnology, microelectronics, polymers, food safety, plant science, vaccinology, biotechnology, robotics and materials science. NDSU is a student-focused, land-grant research university that encompasses a broad spectrum of curricular offerings, scholarly activity and service.
NDSU is ranked in the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education’s elite category of “Research Universities/Very High Research Activity” among 108 prestigious universities. In addition, the highly respected NDSU Research & Technology Park is a national model of successful partnerships between higher education and private industry.
MSUM is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system and a major partner in achieving regional and statewide economic development priorities.
MSUM is a comprehensive regional university with a new $30 million science center houses biology and chemistry research labs, a radioactive lab, animal quarters, an aquarium and greenhouses. The university offers a growing number of web-based and hybrid courses. Its four colleges offer programs in life sciences, physical sciences, education, business, communications, technology, nursing, social work, criminal justice, arts and humanities, cultures and languages.
Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America with an enrollment of 2,600 students.
Concordia’s program distinctions include international education, music, and the sciences, especially pre-med and other health professions. The new Offutt School of Business enhances several majors with a global curriculum that emphasizes ethical leadership and entrepreneurship.
Concordia is a nationally recognized leader in global education known for its high ranking in study abroad program participation and the world-renowned Concordia Language Villages. The college ranks in the top 12 percent for graduates who go on to earn research doctorates. The medical school acceptance rate for Concordia graduates is 88 percent, and the law school acceptance rate is above 90 percent.
Tri-College University is a unique consortium of our four-year higher education institutions. It allows students enrolled at any one of them to take courses at the other two at no extra charge, and to apply the credits toward graduation requirements at the home campus. Through Tri-College, you can access world-class programs, resources such as full access to all three libraries, and the benefits of a “combined campus” of around 27,000 students. Meanwhile, you can live and learn in an environment sized to suit you: a Division I school with about 14,400 students, a Division II school with an enrollment of around 6,000, or a Division III school with approximately 2,600.
