Living, Working & Creating in Fargo Moorhead
GFMEDC – Our website has info separated into the sections of business, entrepreneur and live & work.
Live In Fargo – This website has a ton of info on living & working in the metro.
FM Area Tour – Run by our EDC, this provides immersive 360-degree virtual tours, with each category highlighting a business or activity to give a visual sense of the region.
Fargo Moorhead – Run by the CVB, this website categories of food & drink, things to do, plan your trip.
Fargo Underground – This offers website and social media pages devoted to sharing events & info in categories such as Music, Art, Food, Living, Explore & more.
The Fargo Beat –The Beat “reshares” info of local happenings and FYIs. Look for it via their Facebook page or Twitter account
Eventbrite – Many local events tend to use Eventbrite (and/or Facebook Events) to post information and registration.
Meetup – While not quite as prevalent as it once was, this platform is utilized by certain niches & interests for both Groups and Events (first search by City).
Jade Presents – Many concerts and events are promoted or ticketed by Jade Presents and their sister company.
Tickets 300 – Sign up for their emails (which often include presale codes) or find concert & event info on their website, Facebook, & Twitter.
Emerging Prairie – This website is primarily focused on the entrepreneurial community, promoting their events and programs such as StartupBREW, TEDx Fargo, Grand Farm, Prairie Den coworking & many more.
Startup Digest Fargo – Bi-weekly email highlighting entrepreneurial-related startups/programs/events/articles.
Volunteer – Check out www.myfirstlink.org or the United Way of Cass-Clay.
Ladyboss Midwest – This is a social media & events group focused on empowering and connecting women.
Young Professionals Network – The group via The Chamber is designed for, but not limited to, 21-39-year olds. You must be at least 21 to join the YPN. There are annual dues (that most employers will likely pay for), but some events are occasionally open to non-members.
The Chamber – Speaking of the Chamber, you’ll find other events & programs on their website for networking, training & more.
Folkways – The organization is behind great events like Red River Market, Night Bazaar, Christkindlmrkt, & more initiatives that support culture creators and instill a sense of belonging in a community.
The Arts Partnership – This organizations communicates about the arts, advocating for the arts and giving grants to artists and organizations making our community a vibrant place to live.
Creative Mornings Fargo –CMFargo is a monthly event featuring a creative talk and a mantra that everyone is creative.
Food Of The North – Their mission is to celebrate, connect and empower our local food community; including their First Friday events.
Frostival – This is an annual series of events that celebrates the “cool” of winter with outdoor events, concerts and activities. Next one is January 15-February 26, 2022.
Fargo Film Festival – The annual film festival held at the historic Fargo Theatre. Next one is March 15-March 19, 2022
Unglued Market – This not only encompasses a downtown store but also their many events, workshops, retreats and camps. Self-described as being like “Etsy in real life”.
Publications – You can find great content online and at the exits of grocery stores. Fargo Monthly and Fargo Inc. are outstanding examples.
Yelp – The website/app is a great way to find and learn about many businesses in town. I find this especially helpful in the pictures of food, as well as using their map function.
SaveCoin – A local site with various $ saving deals on dining & more.
