Learn how our community will help your startup.

Our primary entrepreneurial support focus at GFMEDC is with the startup entrepreneur as opposed to traditional small business entrepreneur.

Why Startup Entrepreneurs?

A startup generally has the ability to grow & scale, while often aiming for a customer base not constrained by geography. The most common are those involved in creating software, hardware or manufactured products. However, even small business entrepreneurs can benefit and thrive with the help of our local ecosystem resources and Fargo-Moorhead community connections.

You can find a variety of commonly used resources, as well as ways to get engaged within our ecosystem, as a key step is letting others know what you have going on, and then ultimately that can lead to the question many of us here ask, “What can we do as a community to help you succeed?“.

Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Fargo Moorhead is home to a robust ecosystem of many programs, organizations and people here to help startups grow. The map below illustrates some of those resources, divided into four categories: Funding, Space, Engagement and Help. It is so robust that you may not know where to start, so feel free to reach out to us as it is our job to know a little bit about a lot of things to help guide you to the proper programs and people.
