Growth Initiative Fund (GIF) Supports Business Growth
The GIF is one of our many vital business support tools. The GIF primarily acts as a community buy-down partner with the Bank of North Dakota (BND) on the PACE and Flex PACE loans, promoting economic development in Cass County, North Dakota. This partnership with BND and a leader lender enables expanding primary sector companies to make capital investments through low-interest financing.
History
The GIF is a revolving loan fund formed in 1993 by GFMEDC and administered by GFMEDC staff. The GIF is governed by seven board directors appointed by GFMEDC, Cass County, City of Fargo and City of West Fargo. The GIF received a large part of its funding from contributions by the three public entities.
