Fargo Software Logistics Company Triples Its Operations
Fargo, N.D. (July 19, 2023) – At a time when many software and technology companies are downsizing and scaling back their office footprints across the country, one new Fargo company is defying the trend with plans to triple its current downtown office space and increase its headcount by 20, going from 10 FTE’s up to 30 by the end of 2024.
Cota Systems™, a fast-growing supply chain and freight logistics software company opened its Fargo office in July 2022, initially leasing 1,700 square feet of office space in downtown Fargo to house business development and engineering teams for its flagship products CarrierPro™, FreightPro™, and the Cota Systems™ Mobile App. Fast forward one year and the company is poised to make significant investments in the community to continue to fuel its growth and expand to 5,700 square feet.

The strategic decision to relocate operations to the Fargo-Moorhead metro has paid off as Cota Systems has accessed software and business talent helping to propel the company to significant expansion. Since 2022 the company has hired four graduates from Emerging Digital Academy, a local 20-week immersive coding bootcamp and plans to continue hiring additional staff. Cota Systems plans to move two key leadership positions from its California office to Fargo.
The Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corporation (GFMEDC) has worked closely with Cota Systems since 2022 to help them find office space, connect with venture capital and funding programs, and provide introductions to key partners like Emerging Digital Academy.

To meet its expansion goals, Cota Systems plans to hire a number of key positions in the coming months, including software engineers, freight operations, marketing and finance personnel.
