Meet Software Startup Verdethos At Our Annual Meeting

Meet Software Startup Verdethos at the GFMEDC Annual Meeting on February 24

If you haven’t attended one of our annual meetings lately—or the Un-Annual Meeting, as we like to call it—you might be surprised by the format. While we share a brief presentation highlighting our work, the real focus is on connection. Attendees have the opportunity to meet and interact with companies and organizations that are actively shaping the regional economy, learn what they’re working on, and hear what’s next for them.

One of the featured companies is the Verdethos, Inc. Verdethos is a software company modernizing agricultural supply chains. Its platform connects producers, processors, exporters, and importers in one shared system, giving each participant the ability to share clear visibility into their products’ journey and how they move through the supply chain.

Data that has traditionally lived in emails, spreadsheets, and handwritten notes is consolidated into a secure, multi-tenant platform—reducing friction, improving trust, and enabling better, faster decisions across the supply chain. Early traction has been in ag products such as coffee beans and palm oil across various markets around the world, and they are continuing to work with other commodity supply chains here in North Dakota.

GFMEDC has been working with them since 2022, which started when co-founder Lisa Kosciuk visited Fargo to attend the Prairie Capital Summit. The initial connections from that trip led to additional visits and connections, further integrating her into the ecosystem. When Kosciuk mentioned she was considering relocating to the Fargo area, and the fact that they were looking to raise funds, John Machacek from the GFMEDC educated her on and connected her to the wide variety of applicable resources to enable the startup.

Verdethos moved their headquarters from New York to Fargo in 2024 and have gone on to be approved for a LIFT loan, as well as Angel Match Program in conjunction with their private capital fundraising.

We invite you to join us at our Annual Meeting to meet Verdethos and co-founder Aidan Dowdle, hear their story, and learn how you can support the growth of their startup right here in the Fargo–Moorhead region.

Our Annual Meeting will take place on February 24 at The Avalon Events Center in Fargo from 4:30–6:30 p.m. Tickets include a variety of hors d’oeuvres, with a cash bar available.
