The Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corporation (GFMEDC) and the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber will welcome a delegation of 30 business leaders and officials from Topeka, Kansas to the Fargo Moorhead Metro September 26 to 27. The visit is part of the Topeka Chamber’s annual InterCity Benchmarking Exchange, which allows business leaders to learn from cities of similar size to Topeka and utilize lessons from their success.
According to Topeka officials, Fargo Moorhead West Fargo has been on the Topeka Chamber’s radar for some time. “Over the years, we’ve watched the achievements of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo area and are interested in learning more about how the area has attracted and retained young professionals, and how the community has achieved national rankings in economic and population growth,” said Doug Kinsinger, Topeka Chamber president and CEO.
The group will visit a number of places, including Microsoft, the NDSU Research & Technology Park and Concordia College’s Offutt School of Business. Key topics will include regional collaboration, neighborhood redevelopment, growing workforce and entrepreneurism.
